The LeRoi Community Foundation is pleased to announce a conclusion to its fall granting cycle and the donation of $10,000 in funds to various charitable organizations throughout Greater Trail.

“While we are incredibly proud of this contribution to the community, the demand out there for funding is incredible. We received over $100,000 in requests from 16 different groups throughout Greater Trail.” says Adam Monteith, Chair of the LeRoi Community Foundation. “Every family and every business in the community has the capability to make a tremendous difference. Our goal is to connect their desires for a lasting legacy to the needs of charitable groups within our area that don’t always grab attention for fund raising.”

Included in the list of successful grantees are the SD20 School Nutrition Program, the Trail Pipe Band, the Greater Trail Extreme Weather Shelter Project, FAIR’s Youth Awareness Well-being & Resilience Project and the BlackJack Skier Development Program.

Donations held with the LeRoi Community Foundation are held in a permanent fund. Income generated from that investment is distributed as grants to registered Canadian charitable organizations whose projects meet the Foundation’s goal. The LeRoi Community Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to the betterment of the Greater Trail area through an extensive network of donors and co-operations. Prospective donors are advised to talk to their local financial advisor on the benefits of charitable giving.
